i hate it when some people say you need all the expensive shit, a good computer, 1000 dollar microphone and shit, when in reality all you need is a laptop and a cheap microphone... they're are just trying to make music prod. seem harder so you won't take their spot in the future

Thanks for the wonderful stuff you have put on your channel. I have been singing since sometime but never tried to use a DAW. Because of the pandemic, learning to use a DAW and having a recording set up seems to be like the only option.

Fl Studio stock sounds overall, are not that great. I bought the 200 dollar producer edition, and was so glad when I discovered the Sakura synth, but it was the trial version. They give you most of the crap sounds, and make you buy the "good" sounds. It pisses me off that the only synth that is even close to being ok is Sytrus and the other one's are just horrible, unless you sit there for hours tweeking a sound, you might come up with something alright. My recommendation is to save up for an expensive keyboard workstation/arranger with a ton of great sounds, and then learn a daw to record onto and to get some extra sounds. I wish I would have stuck with the dawless way without a computer, but I'm not rich and I can't afford a studio with a bunch of different hardware synths, drum machines, mpc's and all that great stuff. Sounds and workflow are the two most important things to me. If I don't have the right sounds and when I get discouraged, it just messes up the whole process. I hate not having the right setup, because all that I want to do is make music.

I was given a pair of m audio BX 5 's....so all I need is a mic....software..interface and pc....does it matter if it's a desktop or laptop?....I know this is a newbie question ....but I'm an older guy...getting back into singing and guitar playing....and my wife just bought me a iPhone i make quality music on garage band????I'm also new to apple..and wondered also if I used Apple garage band...can that be saved to pc????...and is there good after market gadgets like mic's ect for iphones?...I know I've asked alot...and once again sorry for such newbie questions...any help would be awesome!...thx again!
