If you are wondering why there is a weird transition around the 3-minute mark, YouTube made me take down a portion of the video. Thanks for watching!

Summer in the city is still an amazing song. Just so different. The lyrics are stellar. I played it then and I play it now. I have a bunch of their alums still.

Was born in '72 in Toronto and grew up listening to the music from the 50's-80's great music better than what's out now days

"Gren-itch" not "Green Witch." Also, the gerund in the title of the band is elided. "Lovin', " not "Loving." Hard to take it seriously with such fundamental errors. And making assessments (like returning to a previous sound being "unavailable") is a weakness in a documentary clip.

As for the reunions, doing them without Sebastian is the same as not being the Lovin' Spoonful, because Sebastian WAS the band.

I got to meet John Sebastian a few years back performing in my hometown. Still a great performer to this day, but he seemed socially awkward in person. But, he agreed to take a selfie with me so I'm grateful for that :)

Repeat after me: “Gren-itch Village, not Green Witch”… also, “Creek Alley, not Creaky Alley”.

It should be noted that years after Zal Yanovsky got blacklisted for "ratting out" other people. It came out many other artist also had made deals with cops to give up suppliers and other artists who were doing drugs.

They became a Vegas act without John B. in their later years, playing their hits in lounges for tourists.

aaaah John... how do i love thee, let me count the ways.
great musician, singer, composer, lyricist,
briefly the hottest guy on earth, permanently the cutest,
and a fascinating STORYTELLER !!! I could listen to him talk all day long.
and a nice speaking voice too, perfect for radio on par with Casey Kasem and Terry O'Reilly.

I use to live in Greenwitch Village in the 1980 s. But we called it Greenwich Village. As for “Creaky Alley” is that Creeque Alley?
