Earlier reports say there is a critically injured infant, so let’s all pray for the precious little one!

50 knots is the max wind speed on the ground that most US carrier will operate in. Then there's the crosswind limits....
Capt Mike forgot that the ADSB data is ground speed.

Any injury is bad, but the flight crew got them on the ground and ALIVE. That's amazing. Praying those injured will recover 100%. God is good.

That's pretty crazy the amount of plane crashes that have happened since January

This so disturbing. Thank God most people were safe. This could have been so catastrophic. We all need to send up a prayer of thanks.

Why are you cutting him off when he’s explaining the details that I’m trying to hear… I’m so tired of the media and these journalists think it’s all about them

I'm glad to hear the people are still alive!

The"expert pilot" has provided incorrect information. His explanation of gust factor was grossly incorrect and assumed ground speed was the airspeed, also grossly incorrect. Get a new expert.

As a former stewardess, i want to know how they evacuated the passengers.

It’s a miracle that all 80 lived through this. It didn’t catch fire and we are not knowing everything but it’s a miracle. I’ve never seen a plane on its back with a wing gone. I’m sure there are injuries.

I can't wait to see the Delta safety crew set this one up in the simulator and try to emulate what this pilot did. Wild!

Where is the video footage of the crash? You cant tell me that every airport doesn't have 1000 HD cameras covering every inch of the runways.

Prayers for the passengers with injuries. 🙏🏻 Current reports indicate all on board are expected to survive! 🙌🏻 The last moments in flight and (crash) landing must have been terrifying.

IDK who this guy is but he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He has no idea how fast they were flying as all we have at this point is ADS-B data. That doesn’t tell airspeed, only speed over the ground which is influenced by wind. We only know the surface wind speed and it could be much higher at 500 feet. You also would never add that much speed to Vref. You only would add half the gust factor to Vref. Gust factor is the difference between steady wind and wind gust velocity, and only a maximum of 10 knots. The winds at the time were reported to be 20 knots gusting to 32 knots. That’s a gust factor of 12 knots so 6 knots would be added to Vref. There’s not enough information yet to know if they were “too slow”. This is just speculation from a questionable source.

Any landing you walk away from is a good landing.

When news organizations report on these accidents have people start giving their opinions before an investigation even starts is really counter productive

Have flown on CRJ's for decades. Can't imagine being upside down and then getting out of the seat and out of the plane. Wow. Looking forward to the information from the flight data recorders.
