With the current system that Vantage Point Solutions uses, their quarterly bonus calculation process is mostly completed manually which takes too long and as the company expands, this manual process will only become more burdensome. We created a new system that functions automatically in order to make the bonus system more streamlined and easy to use. With our new bonus system in place the quarterly bonuses will be calculated much quicker than before which, in turn, will be saving managers time to focus on other tasks. Our project is created and integrated within the current timesheet system with the addition of employee salary information. For the current quarterly bonus calculation the company’s management first decides how much total money they are willing to give the employees as bonuses. Next managers are required to review all of their respected employees with a description and a number system 0-2 in quarter point increments. After the reviews are created by the managers the controllers then have to approve the reviews, then the reviews are exported into an Excel document where each individual employee and their salary is manually calculated one at a time which is a monotonous task with 350+ employees to give bonuses to. After controller approval of the manager review, the employee salaries will be adjusted accordingly. All of these steps, rating and bonus calculation, will now be done on a webpage with just a couple of clicks.
