With may laptop, I had to move the charging pin on the end of my power cord into just the right position for it to charge. So it just wasn't making consistent contact with the charging port. I fixed my charging issue by just taking the back off, locating the charging port, and then pushing down on the little metal spring tab that makes connection with the outside of the charging pin. See the metal spring tab at 2:38 of the video. It is visible on the top of the power jack. I just pushed down on that spring tab a little bit - essentially bending it a bit into the charging port and now it makes consistent contact with the pin when I plug in my my charger. Simple fix!
