Reminds me of sitting in a dodgem car on Horfield Common, Bristol waiting to push the plastic token down and having 5 minutes of heaven for 30p.

Record Mirror in March 1980: "This is a turgid eulogy with few redeeming features... Dexys have missed the opportunity to have the same success as Madness and the Specials."
Sounds: "The most boring band of 1979 burst forth again with this erratic and timeless tribute to their hero, Geno Washington, who would probably keep his earplugs in if he heard it".

Two months later, it reached number one in the pop charts and became an all-time classic.

This song was in praise of "Geno Washington" [Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band]. They delivered one of the finest live albums ever - "Hand Clappin, Foot Stompin, Funky-Butt ... Live!" It's amazing!!!

I recognise most of the bits shot in Brum, but does anyone know where the place at 0:27 is?

Brings back a few memories... anyone else notice the bass guitar string breaking at 0:18?
