It looked like Surtr was in anquish for moment when Kratos stabbed his heart, then suffered more than any human can imagine and finally was totally happy he faced his end like this. Weird guy.

This is the moment Kratos grew from God to human because his last vengeance not only ended the Greek mythology but killed so many mortals caught in his war path of vengeance. This is the better version of him.

According to Freya, the Giant who built Asgard wall hates Aesir god because they kill his father, so he made a flaw in the wall which only known by Sultr, so if Sultr came to Asgard he will use the flaw to destroy it and become Ragnarok.

I just noticed something. Surtur says "Now for the really painful part" it wasn't painful because he got stabbed, he had to say goodbye to Sinmara in a way but at the last bit he enjoyed the feeling of being, complete.
