Introduction to Neuroscience 2: Lecture 5, Touch and Proprioception

This is part 1 of the somatosensation lectures. In this lecture, I describe how touch information is sensed in the skin by a wide range of mechanoreceptors. I discuss the path touch information takes through the central nervous system. Last, we learn about the organization of the somatosensory cortex and how amputation can reshape the somatosensory cortex.
