I can't thank you enough for fixing this problem of mine. When ever I squat I used to sit on my hips. Worked on my groin mobility and focused on opening up the hips during the squat and my butt wink is gone. Thanks brother.

aaaah finally somebody talking about the adductors and their role during the squat!

Dude thank you so much this was bothering me on my squat and even my deadlifts too :( I was going crazy because none of the advice in any other video was helping but after stretching out my hips I have way better mobility and can feel the exercises are a lot more effective 👍👍

True, it’s because the adductors are attached to the bottom of the pelvis and if tight they will round the pelvis

Sometimes a lot of people actually have plenty of ankle mobility, but almost no one seems to care about hips, which is a huge mistake. Well done bro, great video 💪🏿

Dude thank you. It’s insanity how much differing advice there is on fixing butt wink. Mine is horrendous probably the worst I’ve ever witnessed but atg squats do wonders for my knees so I’ve been trying endlessly to figure out something that would help. Ankle mobility was fine, hip socket anatomy was fine, granted I have long femurs and I’m tall but this actually looks like it could really help as I’ve noticed before that opening up my abductors helps my form.

Older video bro but I just explained this to my girlfriend who was suffering from the issue described in this vid, basically just going limp at the bottom of her squat. Literally in 30 seconds she was able to correct her form entirely. 10/10

Yes this will help many people get rid of butt wink. But don't neglect ankle mobility either. The reality is, butt wink is a symptom and the disease causing it is different for everyone. you have proportionately longer thighs compared to your torso and shins. so, widening your hips will help.

In no particular order the biggest causes of butt wink are, lack of hip and ankle mobility, core(abs ASWHILE as BACK) and glute strength. Everyone is different. don't be objective to your own solution to problems. And for the unfortunate group, some legit and some self diagnosed. They just don't have the joint mobility in their hips and ankles.

I personally also changing my hips has helped me fend of buttwink, but when you want to go ATG, you'll need ankle mobility and back strength too.

Opening your hips, geometricly drives your toes forward and out, Wich creates more knee flexion which demands more flexibility from your ankles. The right answer is it's probably both your adductors and your ankles. Solid vid tho

So increase the outward angle of my toes?

I tried that and it does fix the butt wink but it doesn't feel natural lifting in that stance and my knee caves inwards too.

What do you suggest?
