I've been doing door dash for two years here in Detroit. I've been shot at twice and almost kidnapped. Literally dude comes out the house and grabs me I fkn ran screaming for help. Well the cops come and someone used this dudes address to order food. Followed me on the app to his drive way and was gonna grab me. When I showed up at the door the home owner thought I was robbing him. Wanna know the worst part man door dash support said the original orderer changed the address so they can not help. We need to be safe out here man

Gig work is a lonely business in that we work alone, which can be great, but at the drop of a hat we can be deactivated/fired without even being heard. I am using it to my advantage for as long as I can before I find a Way out.
