The kicking at the end of a mission when extracting has got to stop. There needs to be some limitations on the ability to kick someone.

The original Helldivers community was tight. Unfortunately, with the success of Helldivers 2, that's bringing toxic try hards. Hopefully they'll be weeded out over time.
For the record, 99% of my missions have been with really cool people. 99% of my time feels like my eight years with the first Helldivers.

I actually experienced the exact opposite of kicking at the end of the mission. A random squad I teamed with had one of their friends disconnect or crash or something when we had about 30 seconds till the ship arrived, so we held the line till he could re-join and all four of us could extract together

We need a reputation system that you can rate teammates you have had. After so many votes, you get a star rating.

At the end of the week they put a video in your ship that talks about the punishment of treason and it shows a video of a player with their nametag above them getting democratically unalived via a firing squad.

I'm level 7, yesterday was playing a level 3 mission, all players was over level 20 and didn't know what to do... I had to talk them thru the entire mission.

I like how I am running around, not dying, completing objectives, but get kicked after games because I have a lower kill count because I am not triggering and fighting every wave possible while sitting in one spot. These kickers are the same idiots which think you need to fight everything and that the most kills matter.

It's amazing that people don't get or don't care about the simplest, most obvious aspects of a co-op game: cooperate, communicate, and have fun.

I've seen far more toxic stuff. Yesterday I had some degenerate run to the shuttle first, then shoot both me and our other teammate and just took off. I've also had wastes of oxygen purposely drop my reinforce beacon in the middle of huge clusters of enemies. It's like any game, unfortunately. Some people have so little in their lives that makes them happy that they need to destroy everyone else's good time to feel better. Would be nice to have an ignore button to make sure I can't be matched with these losers again.

As someone who played a ton of held divers one I can tell you that the same thing happened when that game launched tons of people farms to get high levels and then after a couple weeks or a couple months, they burned out and they quit the game and all of the serious players were left behind to basically form a little groups to complete missions and it was a blast so to be honest, I can’t wait until all those people give up because they don’t know how to actually play the game

It's always weird when you get people that are lvl 10 or below at these crazy high difficulties, fighting you for samples, not communicating, calling in evac when there's still half the outposts to destroy. It definitely puts a damper on the mood and community that's been built out of this game organically so far.

Defense missions are a design flaw that need reworked pronto. There should not be a mission that can end in 2 minutes and give you the same amount of resources as a 40 minute mission. Literally rework them into part of a 40 minute mission where it's one of the main objectives but not the only objective.

💯 on this! People think you’re stealing resources and also people get pissed when your sentry frags them and it says you killed them. Maybe it should say “you got killed by a sentry, be careful where you stand”

I feel the much larger issue at the moment is the "XP Defend Farm". Any one helldiver that is constantly abandoning campaigns is a traitor to democracy. Leaving a campaign counts a loss toward the campaign.

They need to adjust the scoreboard stats too. My friend never shuts up about getting the most kills while he aggros every group and focuses all the little shit while I try to take down the armored dudes he gets aggro'd on us

Drop super samples (and other samples) at the extraction point as soon as you get them so they'll be waiting there when you finish the mission and extract, and don't accidently lose them upon death and have to go retrieve them.

Teamplay is probably my favorite part, even semi support. I run the laser weapons for the ammo economy so my team can use supplies more. What I lack in quick DPS, I make up in time and sheer quantity which helps in swarms of bug breaches. I remember a dude running up to me and posting next to me while I was just lasering down a ton of bugs chasing him. He then just sat there enjoying the spectacle, and I'm guessing he figured he could save his ammo. Few moments later, larger bugs creep up, but the buddy whips out his shotgun and pumps 'em full of lead when they got too close. I saved his ammo, and he saved my butt.

This is why I play with friends. Randoms tend to do this type of toxic shit. Multiplayer is dying because of lame try hards who ruin the game.

Easiest way for the farming defense missions to be fixed is for Arrowhead to make mission linear in completion. The defense mission would be the final mission in an operation.

I've been playing HD 2 since release and started watching YouTube vids around day 2 to get a better idea of what to do, but the amount of misinformation the tubers put out at the start was astounding, like I watched one vid where the guy said you could only use the orbital laser 3 times across your whole team, not 3 times each, another guy said the 500kg bomb was a single use per match stratagem, so even the tubers get it wrong sometimes
