Chapman's best days are behind them, They went from collaborative design that made fans feel connected to the brand to just another guitar company.
Put the guitars up against any company and there's nothing unique about them anymore.
The only thing they have going for them is the price. They are fairly good quality for the money.
Personally I think Bea knew which way the wind was blowing which is why he left. Otherwise why would you leave a company that can literally make you anything you want?
I think he realised the Chapman endorsement was actually hurting his brand.

Man, I wanted an ML3 Pro in Burnt Orange with the P90s soo bad when they first came out. Maybe the new ML4's will put the icing on the guitar cake? As long as they keep the prices steady, they should be a big success. Hot rodded T's are just exploding everywhere on the market. I've already got 2 killer LTD's with a T shaped body. '87 Eclipse NT in pearl white, and the even sicker te1000 black blast.

Unfortunately the Chris Robertson sig. doesn’t have his signature Bareknuckle Peacemakers. They put Alnico V Wilkinson R-series pickups instead.

He had his moment in the sun and because he's a friendly normal looking bloke from the UK the normies got a kick out of trying to pull him down. All the gimp-channels who make a living from discussing people who are actually contributing to the community wanted their pound of gimp-flesh. They tried it with Lee and Victory as well. Chapman needs to weed out some of the nerdier guitars and get with the times but apart from that its just the standard internet tide returning.
