First time driving a 5.0 Mustang GT. (2020)

I have a 2018 Shelby GT350 but have never driven a 5.0 Mustang GT. Comparing the two

I'll say this... To anyone who has not driven a new Mustang since 2018 then please do. If you want a fun comfortable car for a good price it is hard to beat. I was looking for reasons not to buy one but after my test drive I had to have it and have loved my 2018 GT Premium ever since. Plus, there are so many ways to make it different and make it yours.

It’s not fair to compare this to the gt350. The S550 is insane for what it is. I have the 2020 10R80 with performance pack and it is fast as hell. With a tune the car wakes up too.

You could always manually rev match the Shelby. Just saying. Takes a bit of practice but you got it. The Shelby will love you for it.

Sport+ makes a difference on your throttle response you are mentioning but yes a factory performance tuned gt350 isn’t even close to a comparison besides the basic body.

Whoever configured this when they bought it new is a strange person. Looks like a GT Premium with all the bells and whistles except for the PP1 package. I would have opted for a Premium PP1, a choice between Recaros or Magneride. Wouldn't be off by that much. You get more bracing, brakes, tires, front and rear spoiler, and a better throttle tune.

I've got a '22 GT Premium in Shadow Black with the Black Accent package on order, should be here in a few days. Best I can tell, the car you're driving here is exactly the same.

I test drove one and when I stepped on it I thought it was pretty slow but then I realized it was on normal mode. When I put it on track mode and traction control off there was a lot of power.

Don't sleep on the new Mustang GT as compared to the GT 350 it could actually come down to driver skills.

I prefer to rev match on my own. That's not a feature you can install into your Shelby lol. Just rev match it on your own man... It's so easy to do and feels a lot better doing it yourself.
