This is what happens to your clothing at the dry cleaners!

First, they are inspected, documented and tagged to ensure we do not lose anything. The information on the tag often shows what’s wrong with the item, when it’s due, and how to identify it.

Then it goes to the cleaning department. The cleaning team, known as spotters, decide which cleaning method is best for your items. Spotters have the option of dry cleaning, wet cleaning (water based), and hand cleaning.

Once clean, the pressing team takes over to ensure it’s looking crisp!

Then, the inspectors make sure it’s perfect and send it back to the correct department if additional work is needed.

Lastly, the tag is removed, an invoice is added, and it’s packaged 😊

Very cool! Performing a great service. The longer we take good care of the things we have, the less waste we will create ❤

"What's dry cleaning?"

Dry cleaning is like sending your clothes to some fancy, luxury, spa.

My Grandma worked at a dry cleaners and when I was a kid I’d sometimes hang out in the store until she got off work.
The dry cleaners in this video makes the one she worked at look like a child’s playhouse!
I’ve never seen such a big dry cleaners!

Also, it’s so bright! The back part of the store (where I was only allowed if I had to go to the bathroom at the back) was relatively dim.

I mostly remember that Grandma would let me control the buttons that spin the conveyor belt and let me retrieve customers’ clean clothes.
She’d tell me what number she needed and I’d rush over to kneel on the big barstool so I could reach the controls.
I felt so grownup and knowledgeable because I knew how to operate this big machine and how the number system worked when I just knew that these adult customers didn’t know any of it, lol.
And I felt so helpful bringing Grandma the plastic bag covered fancy clothes.

This question has been on my mind for years, and especially in the laat few months. I just stumbled across your channel and scrolled through your most recent vids to find this.

Finally, the answer is revealed

Sidenote/fun fact: Because it isn't water, the clothes are never wet, hence the name "dry cleaning". They are saturated with liquid, but water is what determines wetness by definition. When you spot them with steam, though, they actually do become wet very briefly :)

My grandma worked at the dry cleaners, that was the most fascinating place of my childhood! There are some hard-working people at the cleaners! I don’t know what my dad would do if he couldn’t starch his jeans to the point of standing on their own 😂

Hi, from one clean freak to another, I love your content! I am highly allergic to some products and was wondering if you could make a vid about cleaning stains, sheets and towels in consideration with allergies, ect.

Wow I had always wondered how dry cleaning was done. I thought dry cleaners used a big steam machine. I was wrong.

What is the chemical that is not water and how toxic is it to humans who will wear the clothing after? Genuine question.

I had a white jacket that turned yellow after being dry cleaned; what went wrong? The garment’s care tag said it was dry clean only.
