Thank you for sharing this interesting recipe! We just got some Jerusalem Artichokes and I was wondering about how to use them. Great presentation. I see some rather, unnecessary, rude comments made on here. I found your hints hugely helpful and you have a wonderful, friendly manner that made it very easy to watch your video. The addition of leeks is interesting & we have some of those lying around also, so will try adding that, too.

Leave it in the pot and use a stick blender. Much less fuss and mess

Thanks so much for doing this video! There's a real shortage of good recipes for sunchokes.

Harvest in the spring, overwintered, and the "gas effect" will be eliminated. God Bless.

Hello guys it is for the first time i harvest my sunchoches, waiting nearly 1 year after i found out about this incredible root.Unfortunatelly it gives me such stomack upsets even i tried to eat them raw, or boiled, or squized as juice or steamed.I really want to benefit from this wonderfull plant in specially after i planted in my garden in a soil where was no other culture for the last 12 years. Can any of you help me out with some idea how to consume them to avoid this side effects.I really apreciate thanx

You seem nice enough, but to be an "authority" you should be more precise and accurate. A Jerusalem Artichoke (sunchoke) is not "like" a tuber. It IS a tuber.... Two to three teaspoons of garlic? There's a big difference between 2 and 3 for this kind of recipe... VitaMix, not VitaMixer... The nutty taste you had trouble describing is similar to artichokes, which is why it's called the Jerusalem ARTICHOKE... That flavor of lemon does NOT come from the Jerusalem Artichoke, it most likely comes from lemon thyme (check what variety of thyme you're using)... You should never pour off a heavy pot of hot liquid into a blender at that height, it's dangerous and can cause a spill on the electrical equipment or a burn to your skin if it spills. Very unsafe kitchen habit. Take the blender vessel off the base, pour in the liquid, but the vessel back on the base - that's the best way to do it.... What's with the arrangement of carrots next to you with no carrots used in the recipe? Sorry, but this video had so many glaring issues I had to comment, to help stem the tide of misinformation and bad information.

This video could have been shortened to 4 or even 3 minutes. Not worthy of 10 minutes of our time.
