would this further simplify down to h=a-2*pi*r ? my reasoning is that when you divide the (-2*pi*r)*(2*pi*r)/2*pi*r, the two positive 2*pi*r would cancel out

After simplification = you're left with SA-r? Cause 2pr^2 cancels out 2pr?
