Emirates' First Airbus A350-900: Up Close & Personal!

Well by now, most people have heard the news: Emirates’ has taken delivery of its very first Airbus A350-900. It's the first new aircraft type at the airline since 2008! We reported on the delivery on our main channel - discussing how the aircraft took a short detour into UK airspace before flying to its new home in Dubai.

Well, since then, Emirates has released much more multimedia content for its newest aircraft. Simple Flying’s Managing Editor Tom Boon was invited to the event and so we have a good deal of close up visuals for this new jet.

These A350s look like they will be a game changer for everyone, they've been built really well, itll be a great addition to their amazing fleet, hopefully ill be able to fly the A350 soon, ive flown on 4 A380s with Emirates and really enjoyed it, and I would recommend it to everyone out there!

That cabin configuration is simple, yet elegant. Gotta respect the fact that they also put effort into their economy product as well. The paint job also looks superb! There is a reason they’re in a class of their own.

The A350 and 787 cabin pressurization and quietness are truly a feat. I sleep like a baby throughout all the flights that were operated with these two. Sometimes missing food service and getting woken up upon arrival by FA😂.

This could be a preview of Emirates getting the A350-1000, once Roll-Royce makes the Trent XWB-97 more reliable or replaces it with a new engine based on _UltraFan_ technology.

A fantastic iteration of the A350 by Emirates, clearly thinking long and hard about every facet of the aircraft. I wonder how long it will be before Rolls Royce has an acceptable power plant for the -1000?

These are beautiful, Emirates does have class. Hopefully Avianca can get the 5 purchased soon. It was a mistake to get rid of the A330s. But i don't think they get even near to this classy Emirates configuration.

Great plane, but no universal outlet in economy or premium. I couldn't use my CPAP which I need for medical reasons. Crew tried their best to find a solution to no avail. Other Emirates aircraft all have this feature. So plan accordingly.
