I love that Vii and Jayce finally meet, because it was precisely in that robbery that all this tragedy began and it was mainly a communication problem between their two worlds.
If Powder had shown those crystal gems to Vii or Vander they probably would have notified Grayson and she would have told Jayce about it who was too engrossed in testing his theories to remember that dangerous material had been stolen from his lab.
Probably someone would have gone to prison, true, but they would have had guarantees that they would have a trial and the sentence would have been shorter and lenient compared to the hell that Vii lived during the Timeskip.
