Thank you so much for this. I wouldn't have been able to complete the installation without this guide! Here is some advice for anyone struggling and looking in the comments for help - after enabling USB debugging and then connecting your phone to your PC, ensure you tick the box saying always allow from this computer. I missed this step and the installation did not work. I believe this is because the device is restarting during the installation and requires your permission to 'allow' it again, so ticking the always option is essential.

Just put Graphene (experimental) on to a Pixel 4a. I got nowhere with 3a and watching other channels but your instructions are totally spot on! So many thanks and the 4a should last a bit longer than the 3a anyway!

Thank you! It took me a while and a bit of tweaking and all but I got the GrapheneOS on. One of the thoughts that I had after it was all done was "how the hell did this guy figure all of this out?" Thank you again for your efforts.

After running the shell script in terminal I get a failed at the end of the flash. Fails to extract android-info.txt also in the fast boot I get told I have a corrupt phone. Not the typical warning before hitting start

I am having serious trouble installing Graphene OS on my pixel 5. I have followed your instructions to the tee, but it just doesn't seem to be working. When the phone is in fastboot mode, I have noticed that tat the bottom where it says 'Enter Reason:' it says Combo key, whereas in the video your phone says 'reboot bootloader'. I'm assuming this is the main issue.

When I run adb devices in terminal, it doesn't bring anything up

The "illegal variable name" error was due to my Terminal setting being incorrect. It was set to tsch. I changed it to bash and the program installed.

So for me, everything went well till min 13:03 I got lost. The phone is already with GrapheneOS, how do you go back to the old setting, Android/Google to be able to lock up the bootloader again? Btw GrapheneOS is working fine.

Hi. I followed the instruction but something must have gone wrong. Terminal returned a message saying ‘achieve does not contain boot_other.img, odm.img, product.sig (this is a shortened version). Worse, my Pixel 3a is now permanently stuck on the Fastboot Mode screen (the black one with the red triangle). I can’t leave this screen no matter which option I select with the volume keys. The screen simply flashes and returns back to the Footboot Mode screen. Nothing works: powering off, trying to restart etc… Any suggestions?
