It's really weird, like it has some insinuations of xenophobia, but that could be the authors point, or it could be their legitimate beliefs. But to me, it feels like the author doesn't really know what they're doing.

It has some really impressive two pages spreads. I'll give it some time to marinate and continue it in later chapters. But it's really annoying when people say it's just twitter being twitter. That can be said about any social media platform, it could be an interesting point of discussion if you don't just immediately said with the opposite of what's it's saying

It could be true like it could be not true. i think it's not twitter's decision to make. hell, guess one punch man and gintama would count in their logic? Putting this in American terms,
The main characters are like a friend you haven't spoken to in a long time. Then they message you outta the blue.
It's pleasant at first but somehow politics come up and they start to spout the most Extreme Red Pilled Conspiracy Garbage to rationalize their misfortune.

The leaps in rationale the main characters make are so crushingly short-sighted and generalized.

I think the mangaka is writing satire while also venting their frustration.

I like this manga, because, so far, it's coming from a perspective that makes a lot of people uncomfortable. From what I've seen, loud, rude western foreigners is a pretty hot topic among the Japanese people. Just check out what they're doing in Kyoto. Xenophobia response bad, yes, but our main characters aren't necessarily good people.

People like to draw these conclusions to appear smart and signal to their friends/colleagues that they are aware. I usually take accusations like this with a grain of salt until I analyze the material myself. (Literature graduate and instructor)

i saw another short about it & after hearing a very brief description of the story, i immediately knew something was up. i want to give it a chance, cuz maybe the point of it is to criticize that kind of ideology & i haven’t had a chance to read it myself, but it’s really frustrating that people are brushing this off as “twitter being overly woke.” like maybe listen to what is being said rather than brushing it off as “not that big of a deal” or “it’s just fiction”; oftentimes, fiction is based a lot on reality. there’s many forms of fictional media that criticizes things based in reality, squid game being a very prime & popular example of that.
