Would Israel be even possible as a real democratic state? What happens when the 7 million Palestinians refugees go back to the land they come from (not as a religion, not as "ethnicity" but as a indigenous people) and by virtue of equality and democracy face a western cultural hegemony?
The real question is if Israel can be a non settler colonial state, if it can, then also the US, Canada or Australia should be able to.
Another problem is that zionism has even changed the nature of the whiteness vis a vis colonialism question since non-white and non-western Jews can also colonize the land.
This interview doesn't go beyond zionism because it doesn't actually question the coloniality of it.
