This quirky mini SUV is probably the most fun SUV you can get without breaking the bank.

Probably, my best memory with driving was when my pops finally had the confidence to sleep while I’m on the wheel. My father’s workplace and my university are literally beside each other. We would go together every morning and he would drop me off. After work hours, he would drive us back home even though he’s tired.

Take note. My father was already in his 50s, and our commute takes about 1.5 hours on a normal day. So when I started learning how to drive, I was excited that I was finally able to relieve some of that driving stress from my dad. Eventually, he grew comfortable with my driving, he could finally have that well deserved rest after work. I remember being so happy.

Best memory: First driving lessons given by my father in a 1973 Fiat 126p (manual transmission, 0-100 in...50 seconds, literally the car that motorized Poland) in the middle of a scorching summer in Eastern Poland on a tactor-riddled farm road. The smell of no air conditioning, generously greased cars parts, corduroy seat covers, farmland aura combined with the raw power of that 23HP naturally aspirated 'beast' of an engine [lol] on super bumpy roads where literally 'cows come home'...it was more than a driving lesson or skill passed on, it was a father's love for his son.

I own a 2022 Jimny and it is a joy to drive daily once you upgrade the suspension (I use an OLDMAN EMU) and upgrade the tires to 225 from 195. It is just really damn slow to drive LOL 125 KPH on the skyway will take you a while to get, and the gas mileage isn’t that good, 8.6 KM/L. Still a good reliable daily driver for me. ☺️

Best Memory of my first car was the Pajero gen 2 V6. When my father was a highschool student, my grandpa bought from japan when he was a mechanic, exported from japan to the Philippines. That car was great, good weekend car, very comfortable, and head turner. late 2023, my dad sold it just to buy a yaris cross. its kinda regretable for me at least. My mom doesnt like because the engine loves to kill belt. but nonetheless, a great car.

Update: Non-Kei car version of the Jimny was also sold in Japan as the Jimny Sierra. Thanks for this correction @AronOutdoors.

The best memory I have is driving our old and dilapidated but very reliable 98 Tamaraw FX. My father obtained our FX thru bank repo in 2002. Nevertheles, our FX serviced us for 18 years. We used it to deliver our furnitures. It was also a family a car. How can you not love the FX when it helped our business through the years without any headache. It was also very frugal (500php diesel for a weeks trip). Heck, I can even squeezed in a month"s travel for 1000php. Anyway, I love that car so much that it felt like losing someone in your family when it was time to sell our FX. #MotulMemories

Best memory of driving when my Dad and my uncle taught me to drive in our manual Toyota corolla sedan. They take turns in teaching me and because my Dad had his weekday job. But on weekends, he was the one accompanying me. He always tells me to have confidence in driving, and never do it hastily. I was able to learn how to drive when my Dad always allow me to use our car to go to the market to buy stuff and run some errands. That’s when i gained my confidence in driving and knew all the different scenarios while driving. He always tells me to be disciplined on the road and always have a cool head. What i love the most, is he always rides infront at the passenger side and we always talk about our favorite topic, cars. Now, i miss him everyday because he passed away two years ago, but before covid broke out. #MotulMemories

The non-Kei version of the Jimny with the fenders and the 1.5L engine (known as JB74) is in fact sold domestically in Japan under the name Jimny Sierra. It is NOT export only.

My best memory driving for the 1st was when I had the chance to drive my son and daughter to school in my own car. Shallow as it seems. I dreamt of it as a kid. Being fetched at school in a car. ( My dad didnt have one. We just took public transport)

the best memories of driving was the first car that i remember that my family owned was 1998 Honda City which was the first car i have played with the manual transmission gearbox where my father taught me how to shift gears when its my turn to drive. years have passed and now my family has a 2016 Honda City. its a coincidence that the 1998 Honda City we owned before is now owned by a professor in the university i graduated in and everytime i see it parked in the parking lot i remember my father and all the memories we spent together as a family with the car.

@7:53 of the video. Did the steering column make a "tog" sound?
A lot of owners are having this issue. Where there is a "tog" when turning. Sometimes its mild some times its a very hard "tog"

You don’t buy this car because of the features. You buy this because of the appeal and I’m all for it.

First car was a mazda familia 323 gli. we swapped the engine pistons into bigger honda b-16 i believe with darn stiff suspensions and custom intake. Now I drive a '22 ranger and pretty much do changeoils too. I even tried Motul noong nakita ko an motul gamit nyo and I was happy about it, plus mas mura pa bumili nalang ng oil and change them yourself than having it serviced as gas stations. I hope I get picked so that I can represent the brand too! ;) #MotulMemories
