Man I wish you included footage of you tightening and then tying the ends together before releasing tension. Seems like the most important part. And a link to the pulley system you’re using! Would really help non climbers

Cool, cool, cool. I can't wait to start building mine! Just as an aside though, I think users do want to use zinc as zinc coats are used to slow oxidation and thus it's how metal hardware is weatherproofed.

I’m wondering about the little pieces of wood you put up to protect the tree. That wouldn’t be able to happen (in the crape myrtle) because it would be more like building a circle inside of one tree (verses connecting trees with ropes).
Do you think screwing in the wood on the sides of the lag key would work?

Can you cover the different ways to actually tension the perimeter. Specifically without any mechanical assistance. What kinds of knots you use and how you start/end the perimeter.

I'm working on one now at ground level and I think it could've been tighter. I want my next layer to be done better.

Awesome videos, I think I have watched all your videos related to spacenets and trees…
So ready as I am to start my tree net and weaving, I came to a budget problem. I am new to this “certified climbing rope” … I went to ebay/amazon to buy 12mm rope, and then 8mmfor the skeleton, and then 1500ft of paracord… all for a total of $100.
I read about that rope being a scam… and so my proyect went up to $400 …
I am in Colombia/southamerica… Can I use steel wire instead? And for the skeleton 8mm, and weaving with paracord… thanks in advance!
