How long does it take you to refill those tanks? I can pump out 4 of my 55 gallon tanks in no time at all. However, filling it back up with the correct temp water is what takes a couple hours. The garden hose is much stronger but cold cold water.

Just change the substrate to an organic one that way you don’t have to make so many water changes . And use more house plants for the nitrate .
