The nether portal blocks on Backrooms are for aesthetic particle effects, adds to the environment a lot lol.
The redstone I'm pretty sure is from the Java version of SG4/the original SG4 (that Team Vareide had made, and is used on a lot of survival games servers nowadays) (I'm pretty sure it's the original hough, that had some trap rooms for loot and all that iirc)
