A GameCube game would probably get stuck in the regular and slim versions of the PS3. I have a regular PS3, and I wouldn’t risk putting a GameCube game it.

I think it's because the laser used to read the normal size CDs is placed near the parts where a normal CD would be, and so since GameCube CD was smaller than normal size, the laser couldn't begin yet to spin and scan.
