This year I tried to save $10000 on a low income and later realized budgeting my paycheck was not cutting it. I needed to generate more income and that’s the plan I have for 2023. I love how you broke down the 2 separate budgets and now $10, 000 doesn’t seem so far away! Thanks for these tips! Can’t wait to report back ✨

I managed to save $13k in 1 year just by managing my money. I took a year off school to save up, I’ll be going back next spring but currently have $17.4K saved up & I’m actually proud of myself cause I know I didn’t waste my time.

I NEEDED this one! As you know, I’d love to be able to take my channel full time as soon as possible, and the one thing holding me back is not having enough savings to support myself at a lower income amount. Increasing my income is my main focus right now, and tips like these are super helpful! Great work man.

This was amazing man! So reminiscent of watching Graham’s videos about 2-3 years ago but you seem to be EVEN MORE in depth with all of these ways.

I love the part about going to the same grocery store over and over so that wandering is not an option.

And Idea I heard recently was to go to the store with an envelope filled with a certain amount of money as the “grocery budget”.

Once that moneys out, you can no longer spend anything past what’s in the envelope you need to get the essentials! Haha

Thanks Dan, this was great!

Love that you divided this up into both cutting expenses and making more money! So many recommendations just focus on cutting costs, but you can only cut to zero; income can (technically) go to infinite, but I guess you already said that 👍

This year I’ve gotten debt free, and now close to my goals to save 10k in a year. It takes discipline and sacrifice. Delaying gratification bc I know the money I save today will help with investments I make tomorrow. Anyone can do it little baby little build those saving habits. Before you know it you’ll be debt free and have money in the back

Saving money also takes tremendous discipline and also luck. Sometimes, "life" happens. But yes, trying to find not just one-time savings but consistent monthly savings is crucial. I've mentioned before, but the Dollar Store provides plenty of chances to do that for everyday goods, as do Costco or Sam's Club. The big one you mentioned is drinking out. That's a tough one though, as friends may not want to socialize at someone's place and then just eat out or order in. Also, in a high inflation environment, it's tough for many people to save.

That being said, you raise some excellent ideas and points. Great work Dan.

Completely agree with you that increasing income in a lot of cases is going to be easier than cutting expenses. However, focusing on cutting expenses where it really counts (housing, transportation, etc) instead of a Starbucks Coffee is definitely the way to go haha.

Hey man, can you talk about APR‘s like before and after it’s ending. Because I just spoke to my chase unlimited freedom customer service man and he was able to help me but I’m just curious about the minimum balance and statements possibly that could possibly be showing afterwards when the 0% APR ends for my account in April 3 of 2023! 😅

I have achieved 1% of my power through hard work. It sucks but it feels good watching my portfolio go. The grind will be worth it.
