I'm so happy J.G. thought about his audience. He knew that all of us 2000's kids grew up watching Regular Show and now that we're grown he made an adult show, but kept a bit of our childhood within it

This just proves that there is a Regular Show cinematic universe.

Just finished watching every episode. This show is absolutely genius. Episodes like Room Parents, Prank War, and Clap Like This all deserve Emmy's. It has the spirit of Regular Show but without any restraints.

The lack of muscle man references disappoints me

We are close enough to getting a crossover with regular show

I hope Mordecai and rigby are famous after the whole space thing ... that would explain a lot of the references

A possible episode where Josh briefly turns into a dolphin?

It’s hard to put a finger exactly when Regular Show took place. It seemed like a modern cartoon with references to the internet and Blu-Ray, but all the settings and situations were heavily based on the 90’s and early 00’s. I’d say that Close Enough takes place slightly after the canon of Regular Show but that’s really just based on the fact that CE is a lot more up-to-date with trends than RS was.

From all the references I've seen, I think itll be one of those things where the easter eggs get more obvious as the series progresses and they develop a storyline until in the last episode they go back in time but keep all of their stuff, which ends where regular show starts

I'm still waiting for an adult swim version but it's close enough

Can I just say this show blew me away and exceeded my expectations. I feel that they struck gold with Close Enough and we have a new series/franchise on our hands.

The best connection is that both Josh, Mordecai and Benson come from the same short that JG Quintel made in college. It’s titled ‘In the AM PM’. I highly suggest checking it out, all of his old shorts are really interesting and full of Regular Show characters - also they’re all available on YouTube!

I think if there's ever an episode where they go in a graveyard there's going to be a pops reference
