I frankly don't think ANY minifigs should be set exclusive. Except maybe CMFs. Characters like Captain Rex ESPECIALLY shouldn't be exclusive to sets.

I think Lego needs to find a balance with 'exclusive figures'. Popular characters like Rex should never be exclusive. Now the other figure, Admiral Yularen is perfectly fine being only in the Venator. I think the value of Lego stems from the playability and creativity that comes from them. Anyone more focused on the monetary value isnt a Lego fan in my book, completely agree.

Your point I think is totally right, as a kid I loved lego and loved collecting sets and minifigs, but missed out on a lot of stuff I wanted because it was just too expensive. Including more cool and beloved characters in cheaper sets is a great thing for those that can't afford a premium price.

Alright, helmet holes controversy I can see both sides, but this? I'm always all for minis being made more accessible. Minis are a bonus for the ucs sets, I plan to get the ATAT ucs soon, and if they make general veers with dual molded legs in a micro fighter, or a snowtrooper captain micro fighter. great! Im buying the ATAT because I want the ATAT, the figures are a nice bonus.

Even before the release of the UCS Venator i bought a fake lego p2 rex. It had 360 printing and cloth pieces. I was just happy to have one in my collection. It didnt matter if it was expensive or rare or anything i just wanted a p2 rex 😅
