Excellent video, thank you. I got the same error message as you when trying to add my google account, so had to delete the google account from iCloud completely, before adding it as an 'other' mail account again.

Unfortunately this patch doesn't seem to work anymore, because the Google Security interface has changed. There is no longer an "Add password" tab. Mac users are going crazy on forums trying to fix this, to no avail. Help?

Thanks for that, but I have other Apple devices with that e.mail account and I need to remove them all to enable me to put the account on as instructed. I'm very nervous about doing that as I may not be able to put them back onto my other devices very easily. Any suggestions?

Thank you! I have a 2022 Mac and never had any issue with Gmail in my Mac mail app until this week. Even though this is an older security method, for some reason this is the only thing that works now.
