If I had to travel this connection I'd surely try it.
Short-distance flights should be made much more expensive, and the earnings used to lower train prices.

I would ABSOLUTELY do this. I love train travel, and I have wanted to go from Paris to Berlin for so many years and refused to do so because of the changing of trains.

I would take the train from Berlin to Paris, stop there a few days, and then head straight back to Berlin, because as an Aussie, the beer and wurst would be calling me back... frogs legs, snails, and wine, not a chance when one can have currywurst and berliner doughnuts.

I like train instead of short flight due to the awful TSA checks. I don't need to worry about baggage fees etc

is it just one way? you didn't mention the train going back to Berlin FROM Paris.

Better send those trains back, or you will run out of them!
