There is also a direct train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Barcelona. From there the Spanish have built an excellent high speed rail network and you can go to Madrid, Seville and Valencia for example.

This was very helpful! I will be in Paris for 10 days in February & plan to go on at least a couple day trips. I didn’t realize how much I don’t know about train stations, especially in Paris. Hi Les Frenchies. How are you doing? Great episode. I’ve used the trains from Paris several times as well as in Italy. Excellent in both countries.
I’m sad to say that my 15 days in Paris are finished. I’m stateside now at least In body but not in spirit. Great memories of my time there.
