Brita water is worse than tap water !!!! Ph water tested

We tested only 3 but the tap water we tested was better than the tap water filtered!

Activated carbon filters, depending on the type of filter, work by removing dissolved metals, dissolved minerals, and trace chemicals in the water.
These elements come from water picking up metals from water pipes, natural minerals from the original water source and surrounding area, artificially added chemicals from water treatment plants, waste chemicals from pharmaceutical drugs (filtered from the body as urine), cleaning products, and other by-products.

I don’t know what’s in our tap water, but typically, the more processed the water is, the more acidic it will be.
An easy way to think about this is to look at nature. Ocean salt water has all kinds of things in it lots of different salts, minerals, and chemicals from all the life in the ocean and it is typically at a ph8.1 - 8.2

However, rain water has almost no mineral content, being made up of upper atmospheric gases, and it has a ph5. This is a huge difference in pH. Remember on the ph scale, each value is logarithmic, meaning 1 difference in value is 10 times that amount. This means rain water with a 3 value difference, is 1, 000 times more acidic than sea water. Normally, the minerals in sea water buffers any acid, but that doesn’t happen in rain water.
In areas of the U.S. North east, (Ohio, Pennsylvania, W.Virginia, New Jersey, etc) where they have high numbers of industrial plants for coal, gas, and oil, chemical waste gases release into the atmosphere and make its way into the cloud systems and creates Acid Rain - has ph4. This makes its way into city tap water, but nowadays water plants add in chemicals to counteract the acidity. Each state has its own regulations, but the US east coast water is still more acidic compared to the Midwest or west coast, and even worse if you have a crappy water plant in your area. A ph4 is the same acidity as tomato juice or a light wine.

This is basically what’s happening in your Brita water filter. It’s acting like it’s own water processing plant. It removes a lot of the bad stuff, but also all the trace minerals that buffer out the acid.
This is the reason your water filter is more acidic than city tap water. The city tap has chemicals added to make it less acidic, and the Brita filter is just filtering those things out.

This is neither good or bad, there are benefits to both acidic and alkaline water.
I drink more acid if I am getting stomach problems or heartburn, and alkaline water is good for gas, bloating, dry skin.
The body is backwards because of negative feedback loops (intake more acid = body produces less, intake less acid = body produces more).

For neutral water a PH 7 is ideal. It seems the Brita water falls more in this category making tap water and bottled water slightly too alkaline. I did watch a different video on YouTube showing electric conductivity on different water and tap water came out to be darker and greenish indicating very merky (dirty) with contaminants and the bottle water being completely black and loaded with heavy metals. I was hoping the electric current conductivity test can be done on Brita water instead …… here’s the vid :

I think a lot of cheaper filtration pitcher make the water more acidic for some reason.

Is that a new filter? They need to be replaced every month otherwise all the stuff you filter out of your water starts to go into your water

It's cause they've brain washed people in believing all filtered water is better for you. Meanwhile millions are just gulping that crap down what they filter is all the good stuff out lol I don't drink that always from the tap and a buddy of mine filtered all the time, bro is always sick has terrible headaches allot is always feeling sluggish ect ect. I couldn't tell you the last time I so much as had the sniffles.
