I think it’s safe to assume that they had antivenom with them considering in the description it says they were trying to catch these snakes with a leading venom researcher.

So sea snakes are some of the most venous snakes. But they are very docile and rarely bite people. Like almost never bite. What was he doin that provoked it I wonder.

Theory of large numbers says that if you keep picking up things that can actually kill you, eventually BAM! You can get close to one of these deadly snakes and be filming it and watching it and being so careful but there was a another one that you didn't see, but you damn sure will feel!😮

Okinawa → Ishigaki → I was swimming in low tide next to a lot of coral and all the sea creatures were concentrated there. A sea snake was swimming straight towards me until I kicked my flippers around for almost a minute and it turned around. Scary af
At first it swam like it was on a mission to get me, then after staring at me for some time, I think it got bored and was like, naw this ain’t worth it

Their teeth aren’t long enough a lot of times so even deliver venom easily to humans, and 75% or their bites are just dry bites . That being said I would have died of a heart attack

first couple bites are usually warnings and dont have venom then if they really want to they can kill

Sea snakes usually dry bite, not to mention they’re very placid animals so either it was mating season or this clown really F’d with it

Do you know what an as shole you have to be to be to have a sea snake bite you. They are so chill I've pulled one on deck in a net and threw it back then swam with it to make sure it was okay and he was so friendly I felt bad for leaving it behind, like it was a lost pet. He just wanted to hang with me even after I gave it a shrimp to chase

Olive sea snake. Incredibly dangerous if you only consider its venom. Incredibly docile creature if you consider anything else. Dont freaking grab sea creatures, a third are venomous or poisonous and another third come with sharp body-parts and the last group have both 😅
