I'd like to add that if you are going for 100% efficiency it's best to level your purple to level 7 @ 30% (I think may be a bit more not 110% sure) and then transfer your blue item into your purple. This will save you mats overall from going 6-9 on your purple later on.

Thank you for this guide. Its super helpful and makes good sense! I was going straight for naked purple items but need to reconsider it now, esp as you can carry blessing from blue to purple items.

One question I have is around the tradeoff. You mention at 21:21 that the traits tradeoff vs magic defense is worth it (which i fully agree), but what about the stat tradeoff (ie that +4 wisdom and +4 perception) that typically comes with purple gear? As those +4s are pretty good to help your charcter hit the 30+ stat levels for those extra bonuses.

Bro...I wish I could get back all my growthstones so I could start over, I've equipped quite a few purples and fed those blues into them. After now understanding the trait system and how to game it, I feel like I've wasted so much time and potential....ugh

What if we're pve only, is it true armor traits don't matter for that? Should we still fully trait the blue armors?

You don't need the same exact thing to it upgrade you need same to open next slot only if you click on the question mark it shows you want it is comparable with as long as stat is the same you can. Up grade a purple crit with a green crit .I maxed out all my weapons with guild weapon boxes

Endurance is not the equivalent of damage reduction. There is an actual damage reduction stat in game, actually 2. Endurance is the counter stat to critical hit chance. Raising your endurance will lower the chance of being critically hit.

Feel like the trait system is going to be where the real P2W is in the future when they start to introduce higher tier weapons and armors. As soon as you start looking at RNG & pity systems as an alternative to paying ridicules amounts of money for currency its a good indicator of the intentions of the Devs in the future. Very similar to BDO starting out with +15 gear then TRI to boss items and so on.

This system on traits is very big advantage on P2W guys oooops yes F2P can achieve the item but the question is HOW MANY DAYS? How many months? How many years? And you can run 3 times per day on dungeon boss and you cant stay 24/7 on open dungeon because there is PVP on night, you out of abyssal tokens and so many bots on regular map
