I use the MSU formulation of plant food on my orchids three times a month. My orchids have been growing new leaves and their flower spikes regularly.
Of course, orchids need added nutrients since they are living inside in a planter and do not get the nutrients that they would get if they were out in their natural environment. It really doesn’t matter so much what brand of fertilizer you use as long as it is formulated correctly and has the nutrients that they need. I usually have some of the mixture left over and give it to some of my other houseplants. They have responded very well to that type of fertilizer also.

Don't apply water on top of the orchid crevice, it starts rot
