ELDEN RING: How to Fix DS4Windows Can't Work [I use PS4 Controller]

This way maybe can fix DS4windows problem
I not sure this can work to Xbox Controller or not, I only have PS4 controller
If this can't fix your problem, I don't know more about it
Maybe need to find other way to fix it
DS4Windows Problem not only one possibility, it maybe more different problem on differnet people

Step 1: Remove the check box
“Hide DS4 Controller”
(if you already remove, pass this step1)
Step 2: Disable two from lowest
“HID-compliant game controller”
Step 3: able two
“HID-compliant game controller”
Step 4: Check the check box again
“Hide DS4 Controller”
Step 5: Disable two again
“HID-compliant game controller”
Step 6: able two again
“HID-compliant game controller”
Done

Ok !!! I Found another solution using Device Manager + DS4 for my DUALSENSE CONTROLLER.

1. Open Device manager as Administrator, open the sound video and game controllers, and DISABLE and UNINSTALL DEVICE your DUALSENSE Controller which is detected as an AUDIO DEVICE.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Pair via Bluetooth your DUALSENSE controller with windows. (it will appear now as INPUT instead of AUDIO when paired).
4. Open DS4 (which still dosn't recognice your controller)
5. into DS4, go to SETTINGS, and then DEVICE OPTIONS, then CHECK the boxes "DS4 Controller Support" and "Dualsense Controller Support".
6. DS4 should now show the controller.

K learned more about this.
I just got it working 100% with ds4windows, blu tooth and all and no messing around in device manager.(not good idea poke around too much in there)

1. Make sure installed “hid hide” in drivers section of ds4windows(this is new way to do this, makers of controller app do not recommend checking off hide ds4 anymore at all)
2. Double check in main settings no longer trying hide controller, and in profile settings for controller make sure it is not checked to “disable virtual controller”
3. Go back to main settings for ds4, click control panel to confirm you see two controllers in there, windows Xbox, and virtual one
4. Go into “hidhide config client”, check off “Sony interactive entertainment wireless controller”, should have red lock icon now
5. Go back into control panel, should only see one controller, launch game, enjoy

All related to same thing, but without going on longer the issue is game detecting, and trying to use two sep inputs, need take one out of equation and this worked for me, hope it helps others. Should also be a permanent solution.

over two days of troubleshooting and this is somehow the thing that fixes the game. thank you so much. note: for some reason when I disabled bother HID controllers, it would pop up as only one two re-enable. then once I enabled it again, two showed up again. but either way i did exacly what you did in the video and it fixed for

It didn't work for me, but I also had popups asking me to restart windows while disabled/enabling.

The only solution that worked for me is to run the game as Administrator, solved all my problems. Hope this helps.

If you don't use "Hide DS4 Controller", I think you still need check it and remove it, just do it both(and my video) again and again, it will fix(reset) win10 controller bug(only work to that you already happaned can work, if it is not this problem, I think can't work), I'm sorry, but I still hope you can find a way to fix it!

Here a quick tip :
Just go to ds4 profiles and pick xbox as an outoput

Here's what ultimately worked for me:

Make sure to use a XBOX 360 profile in DS4 windows.
Make sure to have no duplicate controllers (shown by a "key" symbol rather than an "x") - this requires some fiddling around with HidHide.

IMPORTANT: (1) close DS4 windows. (2) Start hidHide and check all HID controller devices to hide them. (3) close hidhide. (4) Start DS4windows.

Maybe this is helpful for someone.

well, I was having trouble too and what i did was create a preset for xbox controller and it worked for some reason, so I just switch presets to play Elden
