Someone finally made a full hex bit adapter for the Leatherman Free series multitools. Also works with some other Leatherman tools as well.

Leatherman Free Mods:

MMaxlvledc is a channel dedicated to exploring the #tools we carry every day. I will be discussing bags, #flashlights, #knives, #multitools, #pens, #wallets, key organizers, pry tools, functional clothing, #watches, electronics, and much more. Because I also love to modify these items, there will be videos on tools such as #screwdrivers, #pliers, #scissor, #wrenches, and #power-tools .

I try to read every comment so pls feel free to ask any questions below! Thanks for stopping in!

I ordered one of these as well and absolutely love it. I also picked up the aluminum thumb “nubs” for flipping the blades open on my FreeP4. I just ordered the saw adapter and the bit driver adapter they sell. Shipping is pretty fast too, considering it comes from overseas. Amazing that these were designed and thought up by a small independent bike shop owner in Taiwan.

Saw those adapters 2 weeks ago, thought they were real cool but like you said, didn't know what to expect and they're not cheap ! Seeing now what they are, def gonna order some !! ✌

It sounds like this is the most excited you've been for a while in a video. Leatherman should aim to make people feel that way with their new tools and accessories.

Why can’t leatherman just make them this way?

My suggestion is to show all sides of the item you are reviewing. I really wanted to see the bottom where it connects to the Leatherman.

One of the deal killers for the Free series is the lack of thier flat bit driver like on my Surge. I use my bits and LM rachet driver up to several times in a day

Reminds me of a "hack" with Victorinox of all sorts, 1/4 bit adapter fits on most bottleopener (works on swisstool too:P)

Looks like a really great high quality accessory !
The price is painful though 😨

I usually don't make comments because everybody has there opinion and that's fine by me. But I did try to mod the Leatherman adaptor for the CS4 and my drill bits that cuts through steel and stainless barely scratch the adaptor and got worn out so I decided to let it be. So it would be interesting to see which adaptor is the hardest. Just saying... even with a simple file would make it obvious.

I really wish the ratchet adapter was as nice looking, it would look & hopefully feel more high quality.
Even better, do you think ‘someone’ could make a ratchet adapter for the Free series?? But in that same quality, now that would be amazing 🥳🥳

Interesting that an independent(which is great) comes up with solutions that LTG should be coming up with...this type of innovation is an excellent example of American exceptionalism...good video, thanks!
