How to Install a Pocket Clip on Your Multi-tool

There are a variety of different ways to carry your Leatherman and one of the most practical ways is with a pocket clip. Although not all Leatherman tools are compatible with pocket clips, there are many that do, including: The Free Series, Wave Plus, Charge Plus, Charge Plus TTi, Surge, Bond, Curl, Sidekick, Wingman, and the MUT multi-tool. Each of these tools can be equipped with a pocket clip or can be removed or replaced if needed.

Have gone through 2 genuine Leatherman leather sheaths for my tool (belt carry, catches on everything) & refuse to spend $65 AUD anymore for something that rips everytime at the rivets, and would rather pocket carry it now...

I have a free P2 and have had nothing but problems with the microscopic little torx screws holding the pocket clip. That tiny little t6 head just doesn't have enough meat to really apply much torque (either tightening or loosening). That's a serious issue if you have to remove them since they come from the factory with loctite pre-applied. I know it doesn't fit with the aesthetic of torx screws used throughout the rest of the tool, but you really should change that head out to something that could handle more torque. Even a Phillips will be less likely to strip out then the t6 currently in use. I eventually did find some compatible Philips screws on Amazon and traded them out for the stripped out ones that were barely holding on my pocket clip. Problem solved but it really feels like an oversight from the factory that that's even much of an issue.

I handed my surge to a friend to use and he asked me if the clip was broken. I purchased my clip from leatherman. Any way to tighten? I also have the tti and clip is tight. Thanks

Can you please consider making a Knifeless Wave or Charge. I got a Knifeless Rebar but I miss the micro bit driver on my Wave and Charge G10. You could replace the Scissors with a Awl and then add a bigger Surge like Scissors to where the knife is and then add something new where the other knife. Maybe bit storage, a long pry tool, long flat driver, a long reach phillips driver would be amazing, or a fire starter. So many people in Europe or my area in Michigan and I have seen people in Pennsylvania have trouble with police, while carrying a multitool with a knife. I almost had my Charge G10 taken away from me and I ended up ordering a Knifeless Rebar, and I love it, except I really need a micro bit driver. A Knifeless Wave or Charge would give me that. I use Scissors alot and the bigger Scissors would be awesome. Alot of people use a Awl and they would have a Awl. I think so many people would buy that. I know I would buy it right now if you came out with it. Thank you for your time.
