The senior management that set those unreasonable targets for this branch have wiped their hands clean. It's easy to merely point finger at this manager, but those people above him pushing exorbitant targets are left off the hook. This manager might be replaced, but whoever replacing him will be faced with similar challenges and will eventually turn into another toxic manager

Knowing Bank culture, HDFC will issue a memo setting tough guidelines into recording videos and audios of Zoom calls. Nothing will happen on the toxic culture issue, it will continue as it is

The corporates, banks, schools - private sector in India treats it's employees like slaves. Please join the discussion. As long as Indian employees continue taking bad behavior, this exploitation won't end.

I am an ex-HDFC and I am glad they have still kept their culture intact. 😂

This guy is ‘C’ for sure, imagine how he treats family and closed ones. He has never seen any consequences for his actions.

HDFC is more interested in finding out which employee leaked the video. If a senior VP behaves in this way it speaks about the organization culture which propagates top down. Suspension is just a damage control exercise because of leaked video.

I work in Australia now. Its a massive difference from indian work culture. People treat you with respect, doesnt matter what job it is. I was scared to even resign my job in india as they wouldnt provide me with my experience certificate. Which is very important piece of document in health sector. I had to go to HR every day for a month to convince them. The way they spoke to me and the attitude was very bad

Toxicity aside, that guy really had a theatrical presence of cussing at his juniors.😂

The sad thing is the main objective of internal investigation would be to find out who leaked this video. This kind of arm twisting is common in IT offices as well. But because we can't record nothing gets out.

This is why we need employee unions even in private sector

Now we know why so many bankers sell misleading products. They are often forced by their seniors in such a horrific way they have no other choice. They are bound to sell those covers to customers even if they don't want to because of such bosses.

2 min of silence for those who have believed that a manager job in HDFC was a honour.

It's not just Pushpal that needs to resign...this kind of culture cannot simply permeate without the CEO knowing and acquiescing to such behaviour...it's Sasidhar Jagdishan who needs to resign with immediate effect !!!

They don't treat employees like humans, you give salary it doesn't mean they are your slaves

I am one of the 58% people who left Bank sales job due to such culture in every bank. I worked from 2005 to 2011. I was depressed, thought I was of no use .

Now I’m a successful entrepreneur
