My friend is facing the same abuse from his branch manager in another major bank. It has reached a point where my friend is taking anxiety pills due to this toxic work culture. He can't leave the job as this job is important to him. No no one speaks against such behavior due risk of losing their job and market uncertainty.

Don't be surprised, Ambanis use MC BC galis in their meetings.
I have personally seen very senior officers being abused by the director in a far worse manner in a major PSU.

Ever wondered why people go abroad, it is to escape these toxic bosses. In most other countries this kind of abuse would not fly for even a minute.

*These senior management are like this only. Once I worked with HDFC BANK, these people don't have any morality, they just need sales. These private banks employ people to roam around in the streets and sale CASA and insurance products. The label as a banker is absolutely false. That's why I kicked my job in hdfc and working as an entrepreneur.* Its sheer humiliating!

Nothing will happen to him. He has given 15+ year to hdfc bank. They will ask him to go on sabbatical or leave for 3-4 months and get him back quietly in some other dept or location and bury the whole episode

I work in a big MNC and this is what we face almost everyday. Even after several complaints no action was taken on the manager only coz she has given 16yrs to the company.

Shame shame. It's embarrassing to see a senior level executive working at the country's biggest and reputed banking organisation, treating his colleagues in such an unprofessional uncouth and rude manner. Heard through the grapevine about the toxic work culture, now everything is out there in public to see. Shame shame. With this kind of work culture India aims to become global leader, we all need to introspect.

This is a very frequent happening in Sales section of many organisations ... He is the first to get caught doesn't mean he is the only one out there 🙅

Don't be surprised, I'm also a private banker, everywhere with this type of senior management you can see. And also I'm an ex employee of hdfc bank, I'm from Kolkata location also, and I know him closely. This man grew up with the same human being from the last 20 years.

I worked in Visakhapatnam branch where one Sridhar was the branch manager and presently I heard he is somewhere in Hyderabad, I seen him giving even worse treatment to staff, even after many complaints nothing happened, this bank is notorious for such pressure....that kind of treatment is illegal

As if the bank would not have known his attitude from start. Such officers dare to behave in such way because they have backing of some seniors cause they are prepared to do anything to achieve targets. If this video would not have gone viral he would have been continuing this way forever. And there still would be so many more like him.

This is really really toxic. You can never get the best out of your employees by planting fear and abuse in them. I feel really sorry for the ones who are having to deal with this bastard of a boss.

I work in an Essential Health Plan company and the work environment is so so positive and people working there never want to leave the company. Once I was given a project where I had to reach out to someone in a very high position (has Dr. in front of her name) in the org. I texted her in Teams, with greetings and introducing myself. Her reply was like: give me 10 minutes i'll get back to you. She calls me directly after a while. Im like WOAAAH !! I messaged her hoping I won't even get a reply and here I am on a 1:1 call with her. Such a humble person and from what I got after the call along with required information and instructions were encouragement, faith and good wishes.
Dang !! Made my day.

I hope organizations are run by personalities like her who would bring the best out of the down streams being humble creating a happy atmosphere.

Every sales person can resonate with this. I use to work in a car sales company and managers every day would shout and insult people and put great pressure on them. But one thing was that they never remove any employee. I never a single day work properly and actually I use to sit idle and see how others are hastening to work properly. Later the company shut and close. I still miss it. But the manager somedays would be horror.

NGL, this video is the reason why I decided to speak up against my boss and finally gave my resignation. My company used to make me write 3 articles in a day, the word count and the timing was monitored all the time through multiple productivity sheets. If the timings didn't match or if my word count was less, they made us work extra hours post the regular 9hr shift. Our manager used to ask for updates after each hour and he used to pressurize us on daily basis.

What's worse is that they used to pay the previous months salary on 21st of next month so if we wish to quit without notice, our work of 20 days will be wasted.

Guys, our mental health and our happiness is more important than any salary or any prestigious tag of working in a famous company. Please speak up if possible and let go of those toxic jobs.

Salary Kam ho toh bhi chalega Bhai pr Aisa torture kisi ko na mile.

There it goes. I always had this fear that i might get shouted infront of everybody in office. As a introvert and a person who didn't even talk much with his batchmates in college except one two, i find it really really hard to work with new people and talk to them. I have dropped two offers both >8LPA, just because i was scared of thr corporate culture and mess ups. I now work at a textile factory as a supervisor in training on a package of 2.5LPA. i feel more secure, happy and the people i work with are all on low packages so they are compassionate towards one another. My supervisor taught me to be humble with the workers, understand them, motivate them to work hard and smart instead of shouting. Treating them as colleagues instead of someone as lower rank than you, he says this factory is run more by their work than us. We are mere supervisor with just more technical knowledge but they the workers are the one who are reaping the profit for company so treat them nice.

We three supervisors, me the trainee, and two other and all the 45 workers go to nearby dhabas to eat and the parties are thrown by the supervisior. I get to hear lots and lots of stories from the workers about their life which makes my struggle like a peice of stone infront of mountain.

Anyways, I am just glad to be here. People still call me a fool for leaving such high packages but I think, if everyday I go to office like its my first day, happy and excited and return at night with lots of memories and a feeling of accomplishment then its the perfect job for me.

Another example of such work culture is Byju’s. I literally started taking anxiety pills while I was working over there
