Making Leather sheath - no stitches

I make a stitchless leather sheath for one of my knives in a satisfying way

Man that’s hella nice for sure. I watched it over and over cause it looks so pleasing lol. As a machinist this is something I want to learn (knife making and leather) so bad and I don’t know anybody to learn any of it from lol

This was very Interesting. I do leatherwork myself. And will be attempting this Stitchless seam in the near future.
In the spirit of even trade of Knowledge might i suggest trying my favorite method for a far more rigid leather forming-

1. boiling bee's wax then Brushing the boiling bee's wax into the leather panels as they bake(like basting).

2. Press form the finished hot panels before burnishing the edges, & flesh side.

3. using gromets & leather cordage or rivets to bind the panels together.

They come out rigid like kydex yet still far more supple against skin, etc. And surprisingly more resistant to moisture, etc.

Using the knife to shape and carve it's sheath is a really smart idea

Its guaranteed to be the right shape when you made it with the tool it's meant to cover

Fantastic technique I haven’t seen that done before. I mean I have see that pattern in older things but thought it was a fancy sewing stitch. Thanks for sharing.
