Making leather sheath

Some leatherworking for my simple carving knife - simple leather sheath.

It's 2am and I am now extremely motivated to create a leather sheath

Work the leather. By hand. Without the use of industrial machinery I believe it is one of the many art forms that (at least as far as I'm concerned) should never be forgotten. Sometimes doing things the way they were done before can mean that it's worth taking a step back and looking from another perspective: the quality and uniqueness of a handmade product. it is incomparable. My parents used to leather work. My mom would come up with designs and my father would work the leather. It was their side hustle back in the 80’s. I seen some lamps and a purse they created when I was a teen. Mom pasted away in 93 and my father has dementia. I miss them. 😢 my dad can no longer talk.
