#10: Audio & Visual Don’t Match

When Mal is trying on dresses in the beginning of the film, she talks about the events she must prepare for. She states, “I have at least 20 more events directly behind it, and I can’t even remember what a single one of them is.”

Unfortunately, it looks like Dove Cameron said the word “are” rather than “is” at the end, with the audio not matching what the audience sees.

#9: The Case of the Disappearing Hood

In the powerful song “What’s My Name”, it’s pretty easy to miss something out of place what with all the awesome dance moves and high-flying pirates. After some careful watching though, we noticed an issue with Harry Hook...

#8: Lizard Maleficent

To catch this one, you’d have to remember how the first movie ended. Maleficent was transformed into a tiny lizard, appearing dark and purple-like in color.

Now, in Descendants 2, Mal has her mother in a pet container. The lizard Maleficent is as green as any other lizard. Could her magic change her even though she can’t change back to human? Sure. Is that ever explained to be the case in the movie? Not quite.

#7: Curled Hair or Not?

When Mal returns to the island, she quickly gets herself a makeover, looking like the old Mal we all enjoy. Something was a bit odd about the makeover montage though. At one point, cans are used in Mal’s hair for a curling effect. However, she ends up with perfectly straight hair.

#6: Where’s the Chair?

When Mal and Uma first meet up, they’re supposed to sit at a table to deal with Uma returning Ben. There’s one problem: the table has one seat...

#5: The Walking Extra

After our favorite group of reformed villains return, Carlos is getting much-needed advice from his talking dog. The mistake isn’t with him though. Rather, it’s behind him.

When Carlos and the dog first start talking, check behind him to see an extra causally strolling their way. Now, Carlos kneels, and suddenly that same extra is further back as if he completely restarted his walk.

#4: Strange Spotlight

When everyone’s on the boat, Ben is announced to come out. Notice something odd here? There’s a spotlight, but from where? None of the lights we see can make that spotlight, and it’s impossible to place on a ceiling as they’re on a boat.

#3: All That Water

When the epic battle between Uma and Mal reached its climax, Uma sends a wave of water at the boat. However, it seems like the filmmakers couldn’t agree on how much water.

More than a few times, the deck of the boat looked dry. Other times, there was a small layer of water, and at the end song scene, there was plenty of water.

#2: Dress Length

We know Mal likes to design her dresses with the ability to be shortened if need be. However, a good majority of the other characters during the finale song suddenly had shorter dresses. It seems unlikely Mal would design cutaway dresses for everyone.

Probably, the filmmakers wanted to make the final dance easier on the girls as they were dancing around in water.

#1: Mal’s Drying Hair

By the end of the final song, everyone is completely soaked. Mal’s hair especially gets drenched.

So, when she runs up the stairs with Ben, he remains his soaking wet self while Mal looks as though she never stepped foot near water.

Evil is the dress designer not Mal. And as for the changing dresses. They did the same thing in Descendants. It meant to be a while later and that the girls all changed. It’s not a mistake. It’s just a passage of time

You missed that in the song it's going down when Carlos handed Mal the wand it was in her right hand but in another shot it is in Mal's LEFT hand!!

Two mistakes....first, Mal didn't design the girls' dresses. It was Evie who designed the gowns. Then, when Evie is walking into Cotillion, the reporters pay special attention to the ruby accessory in her hair that she says Dizzy made for her, but when they go into the final song, that piece is gone and is replaced with a ruby tiara. Also, there is one last mistake....Prince Ben's eyes look hazel or green to me, but when we see his painting for Mal revealed, his eyes in the painting are bright blue.

Evie’s hair was down with a different crown on her head and when Evie was talking to Ben she had a long dress but when she was dancing at the end of Descendens 2 her dress was short

You missed one, at the start when mal and ben are together after the news people have gone. If you look in the background you can see chairs and camera's

I'm usually looking for errors myself, but several of the ones in the video can actually be quite easily explained away by the story itself if you look for potential reasons. I know most, if not all, likely are mistakes, but these are what I would put them down to, if trying to explain them away:

10: totally not explainable, just bad syncing
9: They're dancing, so it would make sense that his hat would likely fall off a lot unless very well-fitting or pinned in place, both of which are unlikely on the Isle, since the kids aren't exactly concerned with properly fitting accessories. This could quite easily be just him grabbing his hat when it falls off
8: This was the first of the ones listed that I noticed myself too, and actually explained away...to myself. Maleficent was indeed purple and black at the end of the first movie, but Fairy Godmother told Mal that her mom would change back eventually and that she had 'shrunk to the size of the love in her heart'. It would make sense that, with Mal looking after her mom, even though she's going through some hard stuff, Maleficent could become fonder of her daughter, and thus her color could change gradually to a normal lizard, before she eventually changed back to her 'human' form. Or at least that's what I told myself.
7: Considering what a perfectionist Dizzee (Dizzy? Dizzie? I dunno) is, it's entirely possible they tried out multiple hairstyles before she finally approved one for Mal.
6: "Hard to picture many gentlemen in a pirate tavern." True, but don't forget that Harry is completely whipped by Uma, and likes to throw in little gentlemanly gestures now and then for laughs or to impress her. I can 100% see him realising she'll need a chair and yanking one over in time for her butt to hit it, or having one of his lackeys doing it.
5: Just plain oversight in production
4: They're being announced by Lumiere (I believe) and Fairy Godmother's there. I find it totally feasible one or both could've made a magical spotlight lol
3: More oversight
2: This was actually the one I was looking up when I found this video. I was going to say this one was pure oversight as well, but one thing that stood out was the mention that 'Mal' (Evie, btw) would probably not have designed all the dresses to be easily shortened. When I think about it, though, this one could be explained away as exactly that: This is cotillion, so they *know* there'll be a lot of dancing. Evie's a smart designer, so I can 100% believe that she'd have thought of a way to make the dresses easily shortened in the blink of an eye so that they could dance more easily.
1: Mal was only just recently in dragon form, and when she transformed back, her dress was on fire in places. She could feasibly easily still be 'running hot' and therefore dry off virtually instantly if she stopped getting splashed for at least a few seconds.

As I say, this isn't what I think is *actually* the case, just possible explanations if the producers wanted to say things weren't oversights or mistakes.

There's one you missed when Mal first enters the cotillion she is wearing that yellow dress that Evie made for her and when Mal turns back into a human from being a dragon her dress is that purple one
