A good friend told me her billy Joel story once. She saw him live and it was his birthday. she takes him birthday balloons and he spots them in the crowd and ends up playing the show with her balloons at his side tied off to his piano. She said he was dating Christie Brinkley at that time and he gave them to her at the end of the night. My friends no longer with us and everytime I hear Billy Joel it makes me smile and cry thinking of how excited she was telling me that story. It makes it seem like she's sitting here again.

Billy Joel went to my high school. Academics were not his real interest. His strengths were music and creativity Paid his dues for choosing a career in music which is why there is so much joy in his music. Before you can feel joy you have to pay your dues in life and not give up on your dreams.
