Iggy Pop Talks About Kurt Cobain #shorts

A lot of people don't know that Iggy Pop was one of the first people to recognize both Dave Grohl & Kurt Cobain's talents. Dave played a one night show for Iggy while still a member of Scream and Kurt was all Iggy could talk about very early on before Nevermind. Iggy saw Nirvana with Chad Channing in New York and predicted he was gonna be huge.

Everyone in Hollywood and the Music Industry know what happened to Kurt. It’s common knowledge. There are the ones that have the balls to talk about it publicly on camera and or to a journalist but most of them do not. For fear of not having a career afterwards. Out of fear that no one will want to work with them because they “talk”. Iggy doesn’t have those worries. He’s a legend and his career can’t be impacted. He’s still not an idiot either though. He didn’t say “he was murdered by these people” but he very much implied it and left it up to you to realize what he was saying. More people should of listened and taken what he said seriously. Like the Seattle Police Department….

He was snuffed out by his label. He had a death clause in his recording contract with DCG. That’s what He’s talking about here. It happens a lot more often than people realize. That’s why it was as easily covered up as it was. And never really looked into. A lot of money and well connected people involved.

Thanks Iggy. So, He had to die - but let us not forget that he died right at the point of Courtney Love knowing he wanted to divorce. She may very well have amped everyone up around him that he was talking about quitting the band entirely… but one things for sure & that’s that of all the times to have to die - he died once Courtney knew he was leaving her - & right before her album was going to be released…
(If anyone Found out that he didn’t want nothing to do with her - Well I think she considered the thought of that very heavily in fact - specifically in regards to her album.
If everyone knew he hated her… what would’ve happened to her? Her big break? Her rep? Her clout? Her fame? Her image? ….. I think Iggys right; Kurt HAD to die. But the timing - & the fact no one had as much to gain from him Dying as much as Courtney did. Not to mention that no one had as much to lose from him not dying - as much as Courtney did either.
