0:07 that expression change is almost like Iggy thought for a second that the guy is calling him an idiot.

He didn't say he saved his life, he said he'd be playing on 42nd street. ie 'nowhere' without Bowie.
Get the title right!
A misnomer/sensationalist title like this, published the day after Bowie's death.... No class

"Lust For Life" is Iggy Pop's best solo album, and it was also produced and co-written by David Bowie.
Iggy is a true rock n roll animal.

David came at the right time in his life. They were both in bad shape and needed to refresh their lives and careers. It was to David's credit he got it together and took Iggy with him. Yet another brilliant move in the career/life that was David Bowie. I'm so glad Iggy was able to have survived
BIG Happy Birthday Iggy!!

Something genuine in his mannerisms during this interview.

Ig is now the last man standing since Lou, and now David have departed. Who would have seen that coming, bearing in mind Ig's star crossed history ?

David Bowie was a great musician and benefector. He will be sorely missed.

Sober or not, he's always been so real. Still is to this day. I completely missed him during his time (as we understand it in Waking Reality).

Iggy is my spirit animal. Love him to bits.

Love this guy! He embodied rock and roll excess with no pretenses or ego and he didn’t let it consume him.

Actually, while Iggy doesn't indicate that he would've died had Bowie not come along in this clip, both Bowie and Pop's drug habits were bringing them close to death in the mid-1970s. The title is off based on the clip itself but it's right overall.

May he did say that David Bowie saved his life, but it isn't in this clip. What *is* all over this clip is MTV's desperation to cash in.

As a lifelong Bowie fan I only got into Iggy Pop via Bowie and buying The Idiot album which I loved; no doubt Bowie helped put him on the main stage!

Jim seems like a good guy; intelligent too (gathered from elsewhere than this short video) - and appreciative. I'm so glad that he and David were pals.

Iggy is a prime example of southeastern Michigan's basically strong educational background that existed up through the 70's. Osmosis....His dad was an educator and Ann Arbor (Ypsi as well) was the hub. Midwest real, Detroit sound.

I think a film about David and Iggys friendship would be interesting
