I didn't watch this the first time, but just shared it with my wife who is struggling with her toss. She found it valuable, I found it hilarious. You guys are the blossoming flowers of tennis instruction!!!

Ive always used my thumb and 2 next fingers. light as possible. Never had an issue, can place it where i want. I have a short toss and quick release. Best part if my game frim day one

Scott, I find simultaneous finger release to be easier when I only grip with two of them....the index and the thumb. I use one more...the side of the middle finger....to rest on the bottom of the ball, as a supporting tray that I try to keep level to the ground as I lift the ball. It cuts down on wrist rotation, and gives me a steeper upward/downward trajectory. Any thoughts?

If you find it easier, you could always say open your hand like as if your fingers were stuck together!

Don’t feel embarrassed to say blossoming flower, I’ve been hearing that from coaches since the 80s. “Open your hand like a flower”, excellent bit of advice about having the ball at the very tip of your fingers.
