20 minute Easy Crochet Bookmark for New Beginners! | Crochet bookmark step by step

In 20 minutes, with a handful of yarn make this Easy Crochet Bookmark for new beginners! I'll walk you through the process and together we'll make this crochet bookmark step by step! We'll use simple stitches to create that beautiful texture! This is the perfect project to take anywhere with you, and fabulous to work up on warm days when yarn makes you hot!

You can make several from 1 skein of yarn - although I'm sure you're going to want to crochet a rainbow of these beauties and scraps are perfect for that!

Cotton brings out the texture, with acrylic coming in as a close second, but feel free to use any yarn in a level 3 or 4 weight to keep the bookmarks from getting too thick. If you want them thinner, go for a lighter weight. Yarn weights lighter than 3 can be more difficult for beginners to work with.

Thanks Leisha. This was a lovely video to do a simple project. I have completed it and the thing i learned from it is the last row of single crochet finished off the book mark nice and tidy. It is looking very good. I also managed to do the head band, it wasnt bad, there were a few mistakes in it but the fact that i could recognise them says a lot, my bow wasnt very good but it was the first attempt and i will be trying more.

Let me just say now THANK YOU!! ❤ I've been "trying to learn" to crochet for a few months now (& I'm more "committed" to learn this time than the other 100 times I've tried & gave up 😥 enough to buy ALL the cotton yarn I need to get all my protects started, in every color I need & that's a LOT!! & I'll add more as I need it to finish each) but everytime I crochet a swatch or enough to "practice makes perfect", hoping I can force muscle memory faster?)
