they’re called chains. don’t feel bad, I felt silly too when i found out you CHAIN CHAINS.

okay, to clarify:
• you chain chains
• after the foundation row, they’re called stitches

For anyone else interested in making this, try using a foundation crochet stitch! It'll be a lot faster and it will be evenly stretchy along the length. You can also check the length you want without worrying about having to undo the whole thing.

As someone who self taught via YouTube videos, I am so excited by this!

So cute! You should try foundation single crochet or foundation half double crochet and you could skip the chain part

I recommend using an i cord to make hair bows! it's a bit sturdier and more fluffy!

When crocheting during the second row try going into the back loops only, the edge will come out a lot neater🤍🤍🤍

You did a chain to start with. Also pro tip for creating the first loop, using your index and middle finger together (buddy system!) On the left hand. Take the end of the yarn and have the tail pointed to your hand, pull the yarn up and over the top of the two fingers, then go under, around and back over to create an X shape on the top, then just pull the long end of the yarn on the X through the top and you should have a perfect start!

I actually did this but if you want something thinner just slip stitch in every chain you made!
